Deerfield-News. com-Deerfield Beach,Fl- Today we bought a roast beef Hoagie from Laspadas in Boca Raton. The Hoagie had light mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, salt, pepper, oil, and vinegar on a hoagie roll. Laspadas Hoagies the first store i ate at was the store on Seagrape and Commercial Boulevard in Lauderdale by The Sea. Like many, I started patronizing Laspadas in the eighties after moving from New Jersey. A South Florida tradition for great Hoagies for decades and today was no different. Now with five stores serving South Florida. A definite “That’s Nectar” to Laspadas in Boca Raton. Still making a great product and tossing that roast beef from the slicer to the sandwich maker is part of the tradition as well as the great taste of their Hoagies.
Some of us still call it a sub, some a hero some a grinder, and for those from South Jersey and Pennsylvania, it will always be a Hoagie.
