Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office and Fort Lauderdale Police Department arrested Judah Lion Sealy for threatening to kill law enforcement officers.
According to investigators, on Monday, Nov. 20, Sealy was traveling as a passenger in a car. In front of him was a Broward Sheriff’s Office marked patrol vehicle and Sealy proceeded to film the patrol car with his phone. He then panned the camera down to show a semi-automatic handgun with an extended magazine resting on his lap. Sealy turned the camera around to show his face and posted the video on social media stating in slang he was going to shoot the deputy. Detectives say that same day, Sealy did the same thing, this time to a Fort Lauderdale marked patrol vehicle.
On Tuesday, Nov. 21, BSO detectives arrested Sealy and recovered the firearm. He is being held at BSO Main Jail and faces one count of written threats to kill. Additional charges are pending.
The investigation and subsequent arrest are the result of the collaborative effort between BSO Threat Management Unit (TMU) detectives, the Violence Intervention Proactive Enforcement Response (VIPER) team and the Fort Lauderdale Threat Response Unit.
