According to investigators, around 3:10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2, Broward County Regional Communications received a call regarding a shooting southbound on I-95 at Sample Road. BSO Pompano Beach deputies, Pompano Beach Fire Rescue and Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene. An adult male gunshot victim was transported to Broward Health North for treatment. BSO Violent Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Unit detectives responded to investigate the shooting. Detectives determined that the victims were entering I-95 southbound from Sample Road, traveling in a 2020 Tesla Performance Model Y, when they were shot. The suspects, traveling in a light colored Audi, pulled up to the driver’s side of the Tesla and fired multiple shots. The suspects then fled southbound.
