Is Powerline Road Getting a New Look?

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District Four, will conduct a Public Meeting regarding the proposed improvements along SR 845/Powerline Road from south of NW 30 Place to south of American Way. This Public Meeting will be offered in two different formats: virtual and in‐person. The Public Meeting will have representatives available to answer questions. Project information will be available for public viewing. Please take a look at the dates and times below:

Proposed Improvements

●    Repaving and restriping the existing roadway

●    Upgrading the existing sidewalk to current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards

●    Replacement of deficient signing and installation of new pavement markings

●    Upgrading the pedestrian crosswalks at signalized intersections to countdown timers. The existing signalized intersections are as follows:

•    NW 30 Place

•    W Sample Road

•    NW 40 Court

•    NW 48 Street/Wiles Road/Green Road

•    SW 15 Street

Construction Impacts 

●    Work will be scheduled in phases to reduce effects of construction on the community

●    Temporary lane closures will take place during non‐peak hours to reduce impact to the public

●    Access to businesses and private properties will be maintained at all times during construction
