At approximately 9:08 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1, Broward Regional Communications received a call regarding a traffic crash with injuries in the area of East Sample Road and North Dixie Highway in Deerfield Beach. Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies responded along with Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue. The preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle struck a man on a bicycle. The bicyclist was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation. BSO’s Traffic Homicide Unit detectives also responded and are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
