Deerfield-News. com-Deerfield Beach, Fl-After a night with two false alarms showing heat was detected in the first-floor laundry room they were both false alarms. Last evening at a little after midnight and again after 2 am the fire alarms in Berkshire A went off sending many residents to the parking lot awaiting instructions.
Today after 4 pm the alarms went off again, this time as a result of a fire. An apartment fire apparently started in the kitchen of a corner unit on the second floor. Deerfield-News.com spoke with Battalion Chief Chris Kellogg who was on the scene. One person was seen being transported on a stretcher. As of this post, BSO Fire Rescue is still on the scene along with BSO. The fire is out. Most residents have returned to their units.
