Here’s what we know so far: Shortly before 1 p.m., Broward County Regional Communications received a report of a shooting in the area of 249 N.E. 21st Avenue in Deerfield Beach. One person was detained. One person was injured. Broward Sheriff’s Office violent crime detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Broward Sheriff Gregory Tony was in the area at the time and responded to the incident. Sheriff Tony will give an update today at 3:45 p.m. Media is asked to go to the north side of the Wyndham Hotel located at 2096 N.E. Second Street in Deerfield Beach for the briefing. |
