Boil Water Notice Canceled by Broward County
BROWARD COUNTY, FL – Effective immediately, Broward County Water and Wastewater Services customers in portions of Lighthouse Point, Deerfield Beach, and Pompano Beach no longer have to boil their water. Coconut Creek, including Hillsboro Pines, still remains under the boil water notice until sample results are received.
On Tuesday evening, Broward County Water & Wastewater Services experienced a direct lightning hit at its 2A water treatment plant in Pompano Beach, which caused a water shortage in several parts of Broward County. That event prompted a precautionary boil water notice.
