Deerfield-News. com-Deerfield Beach, Fl- Sometimes persistence can pay off. We hope that this is one of those situations. The customer as indicated below says she has done all that was asked of her to rectify the situation with the gift cards she purchased but to no avail.

Below is an email we received along with many others in the media and local government as well as the two corporations allegedly giving Eva Boyd the runaround. Here is Eva’s email you decide. Shouldn’t one of these corporate behemoths just do the right thing especially at this time of year and resolve the situation?

HI,
I received a call from a Christian at Target last Saturday saying he was looking into this and would call me back on Wednesday. However, no one called me back. Due to Christmas I delayed this email. I am getting the run around from these two companies and I need someone to help me.
Thanks,
Eva

HI Stephanie,
I have been a Target credit card holder since 2008 and even before that I was a faithful Target shopper. I have never had or experienced any issues with Target before now and this one is a Gigantic one. I am glad these cards were not a Christmas gift to someone else because this have been horrible to experience.
On Nov 28th at 11:54 & 11:55am I purchased two 100 apple gift cards. I left out the store and told my husband I was able to find them & purchased them. When I checked downstairs I coudnt find any by the greeting cards. He answered and told me to purchase one more because he had an item he wanted to purchase. I came back into Target and purchased a 100 apple gift card for him and two $25 and a $50 to use for gifts for family. This was at 12:11 & 12:12pm. I left Target with the gift cards in my purse. I ran a few errands and when got home I handed my husband the 3 he requested. He went to redeem them now at 6ish and it stated it was already redeemed. He tried everything and got nothing. He called Apple who told us to come back to the store. I tried the other 3 I had for smaller amounts and was successful in redeeming them to my account which ruins it as a gift but as least the funds are there. We leave out and drive back to Target. I spoke to Haley and she informed me to call the 1800 number. I did that and was told the department I need to talk to was closed but gave me a ticket number, 91168280. Apple also told me to call the Police which I did but Broward Sheriffs said they cant file the report without knowing who took the funds or how it was taken. I waited 24 hours for a call back from Target.  Nothing.
I sent an email to guest services and was given a new ticket number 91181131. A lady name Lora called and said she was working on it. Then I got an email saying it was activated in the store. There is nothing they can do.
I called Apple back and they again said since they did not sell the card they can assist me. They can’t tell me the card was activated or where/when it was redeemed. Even online when I enter the numbers nothing comes up to say redeemed or a balance.
I came back to Target for your information.
It is truly frustrating to not know what happen. To be sent around in circles which little to no assistance. There has to be a way to find out what happen because if there isn’t then how can we avoid this in the future?
Thank you in advance for your assistance,
Eva Boyd (Taylor)
