Deerfield-News. com-Deerfield Beach,Fl -Russian spies have hacked 18,000 U.S companies and the U.S government and Trump is silent. President Donald Trump has said nothing and tweeted nothing about the largest cyber hack in world history. The damage done may take years to undo. The hacking has gone undetected since March.
The U.S departments of Homeland Security, Treasury, Commerce and State are all victims. “This is a patient, well-resourced, and focused adversary that has sustained long duration activity on victim networks,” the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency said in a bulletin that signaled widening alarm over the breach.
The Energy Department and National Nuclear Security Administration, which maintains the U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile, have evidence they were victims of the cyber-attack as well.
“At this point, the investigation has found that the malware has been isolated to business networks only, and has not impacted the mission essential national security functions of the department, including the National Nuclear Security Administration,” Hynes said in a statement
This cyber-attack is no different than a real attack it demonstrates Russias boldness. The silence from President Trump is deafening.
