Meet Loudrige “Lou” Simon from the Center of Active Aging
I work as the Alzheimer’s Daycare Nurse. At the daycare, we provide respite, stimulation, and interaction for older residents. We also help care for residents with memory impairments. Additionally, our department offers a broad array of services from workout classes, socialization, congregate meals, transportation, and field trips!
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, I supervise the employees at the Alzheimer’s daycare and assist with clients’ basic needs daily. I always enjoyed helping people and dream of working in the medical field. I have been an LPN for over ten years and currently in school to become a Registered Nurse.
I love the opportunity and services that the City offers to the residents. I love to serve my community, and the City gives me the opportunity to do so.
