Meet Reginald “Reggie” Hayes from Information Technology (I.T.)
I am a Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Specialist. Our mission statement states: “ITS will protect the city’s investment in technology by developing, organizing, directing and administering a wide variety of technology…” The (GIS) Team providing geographic data to aid in decision making and highlighting current trends. I create maps, web applications, and provide very specific information that will allow the City to investigate various avenues of interest. I have ventured across the city to help my team develop a mobile app, which will allow our engineers to find and maintain storm drains.
Honestly, I have to say that the people in Deerfield Beach are what make me love this city. When I was walking around the city for our Storm Water Project, I always had residents thanking me for the job I was doing. Of course, I also mean my fellow DFB staff. No matter the challenge, the ITS group will band together to ensure the job is completed and completed correctly.
