Meet Your City Employees-Deputy Nichols

The Broward Sheriff’s Office- Deerfield Beach District provides public safety and enforces the laws of the State of Florida, Broward County and local ordinances. We provide community outreach and education on law enforcement related issues in our city. I am Deputy James Nichols and for the past 22 years I have been a full time Law Enforcement Officer for BSO. In 2017, I was assigned to the Deerfield Beach District’s CORE Team as the PAL Coordinator. My function is to bring various activities to the children in our community in an effort to mentor, prepare for the future and bridge the gap between law enforcement and our community. This city, my family and its citizens are my heart. I was raised in Deerfield Beach and graduated from Deerfield Beach High School in 1990. After graduating college, I have been a lifelong resident of Deerfield Beach and I enjoy all that this city has to offer. It make me proud and I always look forward to helping out a friend or family member here in Deerfield Beach when I can!
