UPDATE-
At approximately 7:21 p.m., Broward Regional Communications received a shots fired call near the area of West Hillsborough Boulevard and N.W. 3rd Avenue in Deerfield Beach. Deputies responded and located a subject suffering from a gunshot wound at West Hillsborough Boulevard and S.W. 12th Avenue in Deerfield Beach. Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue was dispatched and the subject was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Crime scene and violent crimes detectives were notified and are investigating the circumstances behind this incident.
