The owner of a South Florida-based prostitution ring with links to the Scott Rothstein scandal was sentenced to more than three years in federal prison Thursday.

Deerfield-News.com received the following statement from the city of Deerfield Beach Director of Communications Rebecca Medina Stewart-The Mayor witnessed a reckless driver on Powerline Road yesterday afternoon that was posing danger to DFB residents. He was calling that into police when he came upon that driver at a stop light. He asked the driver to slow down when the driver pulled a gun out and pointed that gun at him. The light turned green and the driver took off. The Mayor was able to give plate info, vehicle description, and details about the driver to police. The police then pursued the driver.
