Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach, Fl-An electric wheelchair, and the driver had an accident this afternoon at Century Plaza and crashed through the plate glass window of Quest Labs. Witnesses told Derfield-Nwes.com that the occupant suffered injuries and was transported to the hospital.
Those familiar with the Century Plaza knows there is an ongoing issue with handicap access since CVS entered the plaza. Century Plaza owned by Brixmoor (NYSE) changed and reduced the handicap access for the part of the plaza where today’s incident occurred. Many have complained to local officials including Commissioner Parness about this issue. For over two years nothing has been done to remedy the lack of wheelchair access ramps that were eliminated in Century Plaza.
