Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach, Fl-A recent Facebook post by BOCNEWSNOW has asked local restaurants not to donate and deliver free food to officers. The post cited concerns about the increase in risk to officers as more people come into and out of the station.

Deerfield-News.com has contacted Boca Raton police for a clarification of the post and the policy.

While in Broward BSO seems to welcome the kind gesture of receiving food from local businesses. Boca Raton has made it clear thanks but no thanks.

Hi Howard it’s not a policy. While we appreciate the offers, right now we are not accepting any food donations as we are trying to limit exposure to officers and also gatherings. We ask anyone who wants to support the Boca Raton Police to reach out to the Boca Raton Police Foundation, a non profit organization that supports us.
