Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach, Fl-Since WAWA has come to town retail gasoline prices have changed in Deerfield Beach. Not so long ago retailers out in west Deerfield Beach seemed to be getting away with higher prices than on Dixie or US- 1. Since Wawa has come to Broward County with two stores in Deerfield Beach and a third on the corner of Sample and US1, we have noticed prices balance out. That is right what we are calling the “WAWA Effect”, Deerfield Beach gas consumers out west have seen prices drop. Today most stations were posting a price of 2.38.9 or 2.39.9 for unleaded gas per gallon on the eastside and westside of Deerfield Beach. All three stations on West Hillsboro and 12th Ave Wawa, Mobil and Chevron have the same posted price today.
