As an expert on active shooter scenarios, Sheriff Gregory Tony knows that victims often die from survivable injuries caused by excessive bleeding. It became clear we could save more lives if civilians and first responders had immediate access to lifesaving bleeding control equipment. A few weeks ago, we purchased roughly 12,000 Bleeding Control Kits, which will be distributed to all of the 256 schools in Broward County.
From prototype to development, these bleeding control kits are ready.
Each 8-pack bleeding control kit includes numerous items, such as QuikClot® Bleeding Control Dressing, Emergency Survival Blanket, Responder Compressed Gauze, Responder Trauma Shears, and a Just in Time Instruction Card.
