BSO FIRE RESCUE SAYS DEERFIELD BEACH GAS LEAK STOPPED HERE IS WHAT WE KNOW

Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach, Fl-Here is what we know about today’s earlier gas leak in Deerfield Beach. From BSO Fire Rescue PIO Chief Michael Kane.-just before 12pm, Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue received information concerning a gas leak in at a commercial occupancy located in the 200 block of North Federal Hwy in Deerfield Beach.

According to firefighters operating on the scene, construction workers damaged a natural gas line feeding the Dominos Pizza plaza resulting in a leak.

Hazardous materials teams are currently on the scene and in the process of securing the leak. Evacuations are in effect at the area of concern inclusive of the shopping center. Federal Highway was closed as a precaution. Additional evacuations are not expected.
