Last Friday, some kids were digging in their backyard along the 300 block of NW 35th Street when they came across an interesting looking device labeled “practice bomb.” Mom did the right thing and called us to check it out.
Our Bomb Squad responded and determined the device was a WWII era AN MK-43 practice bomb, likely from the former Boca Raton Army Air Field.
The Boca Raton Historical Society will be displaying this piece of history in the future. Remember to call us if you see something that may be dangerous- and let’s be careful out there.
