City of Deerfield Beach Refuses To Provide Public Records-Govern Yourself Accordingly

Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach, Fl-Once again it appears the city clerks office is being instructed to not comply with the law and supply a legitimate public records request. The city of Deerfield Beach is opting to hide behind and uncited statute to deny or imply our request is not required for them to fulfill. The city could not be more mistaken. The request we made is not exempt from any statute. The city instead of being forthcoming and answering our request has the assistant city clerk doing their dirty work.

Seems the city clerk has been instructed to hide behind our use of the word “list” in our original request even without citing said statutes they invoke for not having to provide a list.

This is a serious matter as it is a constitutional matter, what exactly did the city provide and who paid for it in the “Free Expression Zone”. Also very serious when the city clerks office chooses to invoke statutes, without citing them, knowing our request is in fact very legitimate. Mayor Ganz, City Manager Hanson and the City of Deerfield Beaches employees especially the city clerk are subject to all statutes that require them to provide public records duly requested n a timely manner.

Hello Heather,
Forget the list.
Supply the statute you wish to invoke in not identifying in the picture provided the items on display, who put them there, and by, what authority and to who do they belong and who paid for them?
Govern Yourself Accordingly,
Thanks,
Howie
