Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach, Fl-We have enough issues in today’s heated political climate that denying or hindering anyone their voting right should not be one of them. Not sure why we have non-residents of gated communities voting inside those communities? Why not the library or fire station or other buildings open to the public where they have always voted? Whose idea and lack of thought went into this idea of having non-residents enter a gated community to vote?
The confusion at Century Villages gatehouse yesterday was reaL Just when CVE is having their security crackdown on checking licenses of those entering they make it a polling place for non-residents. All voters deserve their vote to be counted and should have access to polling places unfettered.
