Detectives are releasing an artist rendering of an armed robber who ruthlessly pointed a gun at an infant and a young child during a late-night home invasion last Friday in Deerfield Beach.
At approximately 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 31, a husband and wife, and their two young kids, were asleep in their home in the 500 block of 44th Street. The husband woke up and walked to the kitchen when he heard an odd sound outside. He cracked the door open to take a peak and was immediately struck in the face by a male holding a black revolver. The victim fell to the floor and sustained lacerations to his face.
The armed man entered the home and dragged the bleeding victim to his bedroom where his wife and their two children, an 8-month-old and a 4-year-old, were sleeping.
The intruder pointed the gun at the children and threatened to shoot them if the couple didn’t give him money.
The thief got away with an iPhone and a small amount of cash.
The victims describe the armed robber as a tall adult male with a goatee and a dark complexion. He wore a black T-shirt and long black pants.
