Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach, Fl-A quick look back at three service stations from Deerfield Beach. The Texaco, I believe later became  Phillips 66 and was operated by Phil Viola until they sold the building and land. The Phillips 66 was The Cove Automotive run by Mr.Michael DeMeo.The Phillips 66  was on Hillsboro at The Cove then became the dry cleaner, still standing the building is for sale. The last station was mine originally Meyers Muffler and a Chevron-owned by Mr. Meyers, we converted it to Texaco before we sold the land in 1989 to make way for the “Dixie Highway Flyover” bridge. All of these service stations pumped gas, cleaned windshields and checked the motor oil.
