The BSO Public Information Office is currently working a developing incident regarding a notice to media in Parklandlocated at: N/A.
Public Information officer Veda Coleman-Wright is currently gathering the details. Here’s what we know so far:
We understand the media’s continued interest and coverage of Parkland, but we also want to address the concerns of our Parkland residents. We are receiving complaints from residents regarding the large media presence. We are strongly urging media not to park at, near or on the swale of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Do not block the crosswalks and roadways in Parkland. Deputies have been asking media to move from areas when they become too congested. The goal is to keep everyone safe and traffic flowing. Those who are parked illegally and do not comply will be ticketed and/or have their vehicles towed.
Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
For media covering tomorrow’s event, the organizers for March For Our Lives have very specific instructions. Expect delays due to detours and road closures.
