Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach,Fl-With all the hoopla that Wawa is garnering in Florida we went out to visit the two under construction within the city of Deerfield Beach.The first which will be completed is on the corner of Sample Road and Powerline Road so if you use the Turnpike this one will be convenient.This new Wawa should be open in November.The other Wawa under construction is on Hillsboro Boulevard and James Moran Boulevard just west of I-95.This site was formerly a Walgreen’s ,as we reported before Wawa was able to get a curb cut allowing vehicles to enter from eastbound Hillsboro Boulevard.Anyone who remembers the Walgreen’s it was like entering a cornfield maze ingress and egress were terrible.This location should be opened by December 15 2017.Of course the one on Sample and Federal in Pompano is up and running for the rest of us who could not wait. Many New Jersey and Pennsylvannia transplants to Deerfield Beach grew up with this C-store chain.Some have called it a “Hoagie Shop” that sells great coffee and gas.
