Northeastern Broward County in southeastern Florida…
Southeastern Palm Beach County in southeastern Florida…
* Until 445 AM EDT
* At 142 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated training thunderstorms
peoducing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to three inches of
rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Fort Lauderdale, Coral Springs, Pompano Beach, Davie and
Plantation.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
