Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach,Fl-Mayor Jean Robb who first was elected Mayor from 1980 thru 1993 and now again serving the City of Deerfield Beach since 2013,announced she was ill.The Mayor reportedly has had surgery and is apparently awaiting Chemo Therapy.
The Mayor is originally from the Philadelphia area.
Mrs.Robb’s late husband Dr.Leo Robb was one of Deerfield Beaches first family physicians back in the 1960’s to live in and serve Deerfield Beach.Back in the day Mrs Robb could also be found at Dr Robb’s Medical Office.Robb and her late husband have 6 children.The Mayor now 84 has been an outspoken,yet beloved political figure since 1980 in Deerfield Beach.Mayor Robb asked for privacy and has not disclosed anything about her political future.
For those in Deerfield Beach who have not had enough of elections.Deerfield Beach will hold elections this coming March and already has Democratic Club president Bernie Parness pitted against incumbent Vice Mayor Rosenzweig.
