Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach Fl,-Since last Months TOA in Palm Beach County both Palm Beach County and Broward Uber drivers have emailed us asking exactly what the law and or Uber policy is.
Clearly- UBER says it requires riders be 18 in order to have a Uber account and riders under 18 can not request or receive a ride unless they are accompanied. If a driver believes the policy is being violated they can decline that request.
I have just emailed the County, after asking the BSO Media Relations if in fact an Uber driver that has a passenger under 18 is in violation of the law.
BSO recommended I contact “The County” about TOA Agreement.Deerfield-News has contacted Broward County Commissioner Mark Bogen,so as soon as a response is received we will post hopefully a clarification of how the County sees the Agreement and the Law.
