11 YEAR OLD DEERFIELD BEACH BOY RESCUES DROWNING GIRL!

Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach-BSO Fire Rescue PIO Mike Jachles says today 2 sisters jumped the fence to get into the pool area at Highlands Mobile Park, located along Northeast Second Avenue in Deerfield Beach.

Eleven year old Angel Rivera heard the screams of the girls sisters and jumped into the pool and rescued her from the deep end and got her to the top of the pool.The eleven year old is being touted as a “life saving hero.” Adults arrived on the scene prior to Fire Rescue and began CPR until BSO Fire Rescue arrived and took over.

“Fortunately, the girl started to breathe on her own, which is a good sign. She was transported to Broward Health Medical Center in critical condition,” said Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue spokesperson Mike Jachles.

BSO FIRE ReSCUE OFFICIALS SAY this event serves as an important reminder to observe caution while using a swimming pool and to ensure children remain under constant adult supervision.
