Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach,Fl,-Today’s late afternoon thunderstorm has caused over 1800 homes to be without power.Developments including Gates of Hillsboro, Starlight Cove,Deer Isle, Deer Point and off NW 45th Street residents report hearing loud booms and then no lights at about 5.50 PM.FPl acknowledges at least 1800 customers in Deerfield Beach have been affected by the power outage.FPL say it has crews on the scene to make repairs and restore power.FPL also reports other power outages due to the storm in Broward and Dade counties.
