If it is on Facebook it must be true (REALLY)?
It is a shame that residents continue to believe the mis-information posted by a select few who want nothing other than to create drama with lies to feed their own insecurities.
While it is true that JB’s was purchased by a private entity in 2021, which includes the lot across the street. The new property owner has inquired into development of the parking lot and adjacent office building, but is not changing or moving the JB’s restaurant. The City has a height restriction on the beach which prohibits development above 55 feet. Ocean’s 234 is managed under a separate entity, the two are not related.
A high rise can never be built on the beach and there are no plans for redevelopment of either restaurant. However, the City owned property known as the Deerfield Beach Café, does has a new concession manager, who will be redeveloping the interior and portions of the exterior in the coming months.
Thankfully the majority of our residents want an elected official who deals in truth and provides them with accurate information.
