Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach, Fl-Along with a dirty sand problem caused by litter that is being shredded by our beach rake, citizens have let us know we have dirty beach bathrooms without toilet paper, too.
WE STILL HOPE THAT DEERFIELD BEACH IS SAVING MONEY FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE STATE OF THE ART BEACH RAKE THAT WILL NOT PULVERIZE AND DEPOSIT THE LITTER BACK INTO THE SAND.
Last week the issue was dogs walking on the beach and some without leashes.
THE CITY SEEMS TO BE AWARE THAT DOGS ON THE BEACH IS AN ISSUE AS THEY POSTED ADDITIONAL FLASHING SIGNS NEAR THE BEACH.
Deerfield Beach our prized possession needs “RESTROOM” attention. Yesterday one reader posted the following on our Facebook group and here are some of the responses. We are posting this to bring attention to our city leaders that these issues exist and hopefully will get resolved.
I would like to know which department I should contact to make a complaint about the uncleanliness of the toilets at the Beach. The toilets are very dirty… bad smell all the time. No toilet paper. It is really very unpleasant!
Il find it unfortunate that the tourists and residents have to suffer this.

David Courtemanche Wow…..such a shame that there are so many negative comments on this issue. Just because there are more people here at this time of year does not mean that the public has to put up with smelly dirty bathrooms. The Florida Turnpike has hundreds of people through the rest stops every hour and they have spotless bathrooms. Retail stores have people assigned to check and clean as necessary every hour to be sure things are clean and well stocked. There must be a few people on the city’s payroll that can be assigned this task. It’s the beach not the double tree!!!! Really? Lets make the beach THE double tree!!!!
