A bicyclist was killed when he was struck by a car about 5.40 Am according to BSO. Hillsboro Boulevard westbound at I-95 is closed at Fairway Drive as BSO Crime Scene Investigators are on the scene. BSO advising motorists to seek alternative routes and avoid the area by I-95 and Hillsboro going westbound.

BSO traffic homicide detectives are investigating a traffic fatality that occurred this morning on westbound Hillsboro Boulevard under I-95 in Deerfield Beach.
A bicyclist was hit by a vehicle. BSFR pronounced the man on the bike dead at the scene. The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with detectives.
The call came in at 5:40 a.m.
