New Feature For Our Readers “Ask A Pilot”-JoeyJet .com Comes Aboard

Deerfield-News.com Deerfield Beach, FL-We have started a new category that may be of interest to some of our readers.”Ask A Pilot” send us your aviation questions, and JoeyJet.com, AKA Joseph Tiritilli, a 40-plus-year resident of Deerfield Beach, will answer them.

After last week’s aviation tragedy at Miami International Airport involving an Amazon Prime Jet,we thought, who better to ask for any type of aviation question than our old pal… and he is old Joseph Tiritilli “AKA” JoeyJetAsk A Pilot

Flight lessons seemed quite comfortable for Joey Jet at the age of 25.  Flying out of Lincoln Park, New Jersey (N07).  A small paved airport about 17 miles from Teterboro.  Staying with the same instructor was tough as each would find a new flying job and move on.

 Originally from Totowa Borough, New Jersey, in 1984 Joey Jet moved to Deerfield Beach, Florida, and
began flying at Pompano Air Center, located at the
Pompano Beach Airpark ( PMP ). Eventually, Joey Jet
became a FAA certified instructor and conducted flight lessons at Pompano.

Jet time was the needed element in Joey Jet’s logbook, so the next thing to do was to learn how to fly Jets.  Joey Jet finally took a position at a company called Hop-A-Jet Inc. operated by Mr. Harvey Hop.

Joey Jet flew as First Officer in both Learjet 25 and 35
series. Just about every state in the USA was traveled, along with Canada, and most of the Caribbean and Mexico.

Another opportunity arose for Joey Jet at a company called World Jet Inc. Flying a Learjet 35 with Don Whittington.  Joey Jet was eventually promoted to Captain and continued to fly out of the Fort Lauderdale area.
