Today we ordered from Deerfield Beach’s best, The Pickle Barrel Deli.
Today we had the Roast Beef Hoagie with some veggies and slaw and, of course, pickles and potato chips. That was nectar!
Once again, to those who patronize The Pickle Barrel Deli, the chocolate fudge brownie is off the charts, second to none in this area. The chocolate rugelach is also off-the-charts good!

Now in its 52nd year in Deerfield Beach at 133 East Hillsboro Boulevard. I can proudly say, with my great-nephew and great-niece, that five generations of my family have been patronizing The Pickle Barrel since its inception in 1974.
I have great memories of going to The Pickle Barrel with my grandfather when I was 12.
I can still remember the counter against the wall. Many retirees who came to Florida “from up north” wanted a good deli. Many retirees went to Miami Beach before moving to Deerfield Beach, and Miami Beach had its fair share of delis back then, including Wolfies, Pumpernick’s, Corkies, and Wolfie Cohen’s Rascal House.
Service at The Pickle Barrel is excellent; they offer eat-in and takeout, and they also deliver.
Originally established in 1974, it is located at 133 East Hillsboro Boulevard and has served great sandwiches to Deerfield Beach residents for 52 years. So you know they must be doing it right!
They also offer a complete array of deli meats by the pound, salads, knishes, pickles, rye bread, rugelach, Chinese marble cookies, black and white cookies, and more. The Pickle Barrel can also cater your next party or corporate event.
