Pennsylvania State Police safely evacuated the Governor and his family. The incident occurred after 1.50 AM last night. The Governor and his family and friends had finished celebrating the first night of Passover at the mansion.
Harrisburg firefighters extinguished the blaze, which was caused by an incendiary device.
Pennsylvania State Police Col. Christopher Paris identified the man in custody as Cody Balmer, 38, of Harrisburg. Paris emphasized at a Sunday afternoon news conference that the investigation is ongoing. The suspect will face attempted murder, arson, and terrorism charges.
