Deerfield-News. com-Deerfield Beach, Fl- Deerfield-News did a post when Mai Kai announced in 2020 their closing. Like many South Floridians, I have some great memories of some great dates there. That story was one of our most-read. Today we are glad to report they will be reopening on Friday, November 1. The long-time owners The Thorton family have new investors/partners Mad Room Hospitality.The newly remodeled Polynesian paradise has spent close to 18 million dollars since a broken pipe and flooding closed them in 2020.
