*Killed In The Line Of Duty* FL – Rest In Peace Broward Sheriff’s Office#SayHisName Deputy Sheriff Benjamin Nimtz – killed in a two-vehicle collision while responding to a domestic call – End Of Watch: July 21, 2019;

On Sunday, July 21, 2019, 0300hours, Deputy Ben Nimtz was responding to a call of a domestic dispute. He and another deputy, driving separate BSO vehicles, were headed southbound on Military Trail approaching the intersection of Southwest 10th Street.

As the first BSO vehicle, Deputy Nimtz, made its way through the intersection, it crashed with a Toyota Tundra that was headed eastbound on Southwest 10th Street.

The second BSO deputy, who witnessed the crash, immediately called for help.

Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue transported Deputy Nimtz and the sole occupant of the pickup to Broward Health North.

The driver of the pickup has been hospitalized but is said to be stable. Our prayers are with them and their family.

Sadly, Deputy Sheriff Benjamin Nimtz succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced shortly upon arrival to the hospital.

Deputy Nimtz was with BSO for about a year and four months and was assigned out of the Deerfield Beach District

#SayHisName – Deputy Benjamin Nimtz - to help us never forget the service and sacrifice of our Brother, Our Hero. “RIP” or tons (20 in a row for example) of ridiculous emojis instead of taking a moment to write his name is just plain disrespectful. If you are without words, just “share” his story, just hit a “like” or other option given up top, or simply just #SayHisName (we will post photo of our Brother once official one is released)

Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with the families, both of blood and of Blue – from all of us at True Blue Warriors

2-Shake Up At City Hall-Deerfield Beach City Manager Burgess Hanson Resigns-Bye Bye Bye

Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach, Fl- Deerfield Beaches top executive is resigning from his post. Hanson has turned in the above letter of resignation to the City of Deerfield Beach. Hanson who along with the Ganz administration has been under tremendous scrutiny for several serious issues Deerfield Beach faces. City Hall has been the site of affairs between staff members, staff members, and Law Enforcement Officers, lawsuits of sexual harassment, other mistakes and negligence that have cost taxpayers millions of dollars. Failure to maintain the city of Deerfield Beaches water treatment plants and overpaying retirees millions of dollars and more.

One of the many things Deerfield Beach elected officials forgot to do was the annual review required of the city manager, our mayor mockingly gave a   one minute review from the dais. One can only now speculate maybe reviewing our city manager should not be viewed as a joke.

3-MAYOR GANZ FLAT OUT LIED ABOUT BSO ACCOMPANYING BURGESS INTO CITY HALL MAYOR HAD OBLIGATION TO REPORT HANSONS CRIME TO BSO

Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach, Fl-Mayor Ganz has flat out lied, again to Deerfield Beach on video. Burgess Hanson went into city hall Sunday night April,7 and there was not a BSO escort. Our public records requests to the Sheriff and the City of Deerfield Beach prove that. Deerfield Beach just returned our public records request to them also with an answer of no record exists. Now if you believe the Mayor that is was BARWIS use of sports fields and a fib that cost Hanson his job well I have some news for you. It was all about the money that was never paid back and covered up by both Hanson and Ganz.

Follow the missing money. Ganz covered up for Hanson money he took from the city that was not his. Ganz had a legal obligation as Mayor to report the theft of the money to authorities. Again here is the video showing  Mayor lying about “understanding” BSO accompanied Hanson into and out of city hall. Here again, is the official public records response from BSO as well as the video of Mayor lying about BSO accompanying Hanson into and out of City Hall. Time for audits of all the books by “Forensic Accountants” and law enforcement to investigate the entire matter of the money and Ganz’s knowledge and tacit approval in aiding and abetting in the crime and covering it up.

Re: Public Records Request of April 13, 2019. Reference #: R022444-041319

4-Hey Deerfield Beach City Government Why Is This Mobile Home Parked On The Beach

Photos Linda Walker

Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach, Fl-Citizens want answers as to why there is a mobile home on the beach. Without the city giving any official reason seems the property owner,(the folks with the mobile home on the beach) are in a protesting type of mood with our city leaders who again have failed us.

We have requested any public records which if there is pending litigation would give  Deerfield Beach an exemption on the public records that pertain to the pending litigation. That said apparently Deerfield Beach has pissed off the legal owners of that parcel enough they choose to peacefully protest and exercise their constitutional rights by occupying their own land. Seems to us at the end of the day someone, like Deerfield Beach taxpayers, are going to ante up whatever the sellers are asking for.
