Description of Incident:
A Broward Sheriff’s Office deputy faces several misdemeanor petit theft charges after stealing DVDs and action figures from a Lauderdale Lakes Walmart.
BSO public corruption unit detectives arrested Deputy Henry Guzman at approximately 11 a.m. Monday when he reported to Internal Affairs at the Public Safety Building. Investigators said on three separate dates in May, Guzman entered the Walmart store while wearing his BSO uniform and stole DVDs and action figures. Walmart reported a loss of nearly $200 for the retail theft.
