A knife-wielding woman threatened an employee at a Pompano Beach restaurant last week, and detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) are asking the public for help identifying her.

According to BSO detectives, shortly before 10 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, workers at Snappers restaurant, located at 600 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Pompano Beach, reported that a  woman committed an aggravated assault inside the business. Witnesses said the woman exhibited strange behavior. First, she told workers she was picking up an Uber online order. However, there was no order for her. Then, after using the restroom she went up to a table where people were eating and placed her hands on their food.

Then, as seen in surveillance video, she went to the counter and began wiping down the surface with a wet washcloth. After employees called for help and locked the front door, the woman pulled a knife from inside her hoodie and demanded the door be opened. She then confronted an employee by putting the knife in his face.

An employee opened the door, and the women fled.
