BSO Fire Rescue -Technical Rescue Unit Saves Diabetic Man Who Had Emergency At “Mount Trashmore”

The Broward sheriff's technical-rescue team safely rescued a diabetic worker who had fallen into a trash truck Friday afternoon at a Deerfield Beach landfill.

Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach, Fl-A worker who suffered from a diabetic emergency yesterday afternoon, fell into the back of a garbage truck at the landfill. Other workers on the scene tried to help and rescue the sick man but were unable to get him out. BSO sent its Technical Rescue Unit according to BSO Fire Rescue Chief Mike Kane. The man was not injured from the fall, but required medical treatment and was transported to Broward Health North, Kane said.
