Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach FL,-A Broward County Citzen activist,Aaron Nevis a republican has threatened to hold an Election Day Race on 441.Nevis a former staffer of State Senator Bogdanoff somehow found a 110 year old Florida statute, that would appear to give citizens the right to hold races on public roads by giving The Couny Sheriff “ten days notice”.  the statute also appears to require the sheriff to provide Deputies for $2 a day.as well.Sun Sentinel  had reported  thet Nevis and his attorney made a request for Deputies and were dealing with The Sheriffs General Counsel.Deerfield-News.com has contacted The Broward Sheriffs Office to seek documentation of what had been requested and were told by Veda Coleman PIO for BSO that the request has been withdrawn to hold the race..More to follow on Monday with that statute and how it could have disrupted Election Day Voters from travelling on major Florida roadways
